Premiere Pro CC 2017's File Menu [was UI - edited by moderator] gets crazy unresponsive when editing?

Ok this might be a little bit exaggerating, I did'nt mean the entire UI, just the "File" menu.

When I start a new project, everytime, whenever I open the "File" menu, the program just stops responding for 2-3 seconds, and then open up the menu.

It's not a big deal actually but it's really annoying...

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I don't know how to solve that, but many of the functions under that menu can be accessed via keyboard shortcuts.

I have the same issue, except my menu never opens up. I realize there are keyboard shortcuts, but i would like to fix this issue.

Yeah, I actually searched for all the keyboard shortcuts in premiere pro and planning to use them instead. I also noticed, it only stops responding when I got the "Timeline" selected, which is weird. I don't know why it does that. Other than that I have no problem with the software actually.
