Premiere Pro CC (2017 up to date) CRASH under Sierra

Hi everyone,

I'm new with Adobe, so pls bare with me.

(Reading back the forum, now) I know I shouldn't have upgraded to Sierra but I did and my Premiere Pro CC (2017 up to date) doesn't work = it crashes within a minute whatever I do (MacBook Pro Retina, Mid 2010, 2,3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3). I even tried to setup a new Admin but no avail.

Any idea how to make it work?

Many thanks in advance!

OK, it's me again. I (think I) have a solution to the problem (fingers crossed...): when starting a new project, from the video rendering options choose the 'Mercury Playback Engine Software Only'. When doing so, no more crashes happen. Pheuw.

I also experience recurring crashes on my iMac that was doing just fine prior to iOS Sierra AND Premiere Pro CC 2017... Initially I could prevent the crashes that typically occurred during export rendering by leaving OpenGL acceleration and switching 'Mercury Playback Engine Software Only', but now it repeatedly crashes when simply scrolling through videos in the media browser, regardless of those settings. What a pain...
