Hello, I've upgraded my student cc account from photo to all cc app and i installed Premiere pro today. I tried opening it, but the software send me the error in the title : "Could not find the shared documents directory. and i cant even access the app whatsoever. Right after I click ok on the error, the program shut off.

I've already tried to run Creative Cloud as an administrator, as well as the standalone app, but its not doing anything different. i dont have antiviruses install on this machine, and i tried updating and rebooting the computer already and reinstalling the app doesn't change anything either.

My system got:

250Gb m.2 NVMe SSD

i7 6700k

gtx 1070

run Windows 10 pro

There's no log in AppData either ... i have no idea what to do from now on,

Thanks for any help

We had this same error message and it was because we were hiding the Public "Shared Documents" on a PC using group policy. We had to remove {ED4824AF-DCE4-45A8-81E2-FC7965083634} from group policy in the "Disable Known Folders" setting. User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer.

Ok so first thing to mention, i had moved the document directory on my D:\ drive, so that was a problem, but then i ran into another problem, a got a : could not find user document directory, wich was solve by adding Premiere Pro to the autorised app in windows defender, slo basiclly windows itself was making sure that it was not launching properly. Now it is working fine.

Thank you !
