Hey guys

Im at odds end here. I don't edit to many vids (the last time was September 2017). Anyway, i paid my 1 month subscription today and updated PP CC and started editing. Then what do you know... FREEZE. So i have looked into all aspects and researched the net for answers and nothing. I have completed what Adobe have suggested to do (the whole make your files read/write). I have played around with the different rendering settings and still freezing.

I would really love some answers and from what i can see a lot of others would as well.

I look forward to your reply and hopefully an answer to get me back to my editing.

Thanks

Aaron

    Hi Aaron,

To clarify, it's the 120fps clips that are causing Premiere to freeze?

If so, look at the discussion below

Premiere CC 2017 crashes with 120 fps clips

A common suggestion with cases where videos are not working well in Premiere is to go through Handbreak (https://handbrake.fr/).

Alright team while i was out at the gym my wife got stuck in and I think she nailed it...

    This is what she did:

    1. Upgraded and installed the latest Mac update (Mojave) 10.14

    2. Restarted computer

    3. Unistalled Adobe Premiere Pro CC (latest version)

    4. Restarted computer

    5. Installed Premiere Pro CC (latest version)

    6. Restarted computer

    7. Ran PP CC and opened the current file we were working on and she changed the rendering sequence to "Metal" (from software only)

    8. Close PP CC

    9. Re-opened PP CC and this seemed to have fixed the problem (we also checked the rendering sequence and this defaulted back to Software only)

So fingers crossed the 12 hours of head banging sorted the issue?

    Hope this helps someone else.

In regards to the 120fps files and I'm currently importing the raw files and editing these as i feel. If i want the slow motion im just slowing clip down to 25% to get the slow motion effect we wanted.

    Cheers

Alright guys im still getting freezing results. This is what i have come up with. I wanted slow motion in my clips and when i setup my sequence settings this was set to 120 fps. I changed this back to 30 fps and walla im editing again nicely.

However i then started to drop my Go Pro raw clips into the timeline which are recorded at 120 fps and the second i try to preview the entire clip in the project it freezes now. This is all i can think of.

I have cleared media cache and all sorts. Hopefully someone can advise what the situation is.

The raw clips im trying to mash together are as follows:

    DJI Mavic 4k 30fps

    DJI Osmo 4k 30fps

    Go Pro 6 2.7k 120fps

    Panasonice Lumix 4k 30fps

    Cheers

Really starting to feel the frustration now... Common ADOBE, someone must be able to help me here? Im now at odds end and i literally cannot do anything. This is what happens:

    1. Open Premiere Pro 2018

    2. Click the Project Media Browser box where all the raw clips are sitting

    3. Freezes

However i can run the rendered sequence so far.
