Question

Premiere Pro closes when I import a file

I'm editing on a PC with two graphics cards connected by SLI GeForce GTX 960, what happens to me is that I open Premier and when I import a file it closes, but if I change the sequence so that it works with the Software and not with the GPU it works normally, this tells me that the problem is compatibility with the GPU and this happens to me when I update to Windows 11 because in Windows 10 it worked normally, I need help

Hi friend, I still have the problem, is there any solution for this? or is it a Premier problem?

I just tried converting a video in Media Encoder with GPU acceleration and it works without problem, the problem is with Premier Pro

Hi Kevin, friend, I just did what you recommended and the problem is not solved, and more specifically it is with the preview, because I imported the file using the Import Media option and it lets me import it but as soon as I drag it to the sequence I get the error and the program closes. I also tried to return to a previous version of Premier and the same thing keeps happening, all this since I installed Windows 11, in Windows 10 it worked wonderfully, I don't understand what's happening.

Hi @Dany_Nunez92,

Try a clean installation of the game-ready driver. That may work. See this discussion. I hope it works for you. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Kevin
