Hello,

So I recorded a vlog using 2 seramonic mics that plug into a reciever via iphone, and when i'm editing the footage now there is only one audio channel (I understand why), but the audio from one mic is playing into the left ear and the other mic is playing into the right ear. When I try to fix it in audio channels, it ends up making only one ear the sterio sound while playing the same mono audio into the other. Can anyone help make the mics stereo?

You need to modify your audio from 1 clip with 2 channels to 2 clips with 1 channel each. It is best to do this before you begin editing the clip in a sequence.

Here's how you can do it:

  1. In the Project panel, right-click your clip and choose Modify > Audio Channels.
  2. In the dialog box, change the preset to Mono.
  3. This will create two mono audio clips—one for the left channel and one for the right.
  4. Click OK to apply the changes.

After that, you can drag the modified clip(s) into your timeline and choose which channel to use, or mix them as needed.

You could use these Audio Effects:

If there isn't a proper solution, I was considering to just copy the original audio and pasting it underneath, so I could have two of the same clips, one with the right and the other left.
