Premiere Pro crashes when importing After Effects file

Hey everyone, 

 

so I have a problem that when I am trying to import an After Effects file into my Premiere Pro project. It says that it is importing but nothing happens and I am unable to cancel it or do anything with Premiere Pro for that matter. 

 

Does anyone know how to fix that?

Can you share with us your pc and system specs please

Do you have the latest premiere pro and after effects version?

Make sure that the version of the After Effects project file is from the same version to Premiere Pro or lower, not a higher version.

Thank you so much, I reset the preferences and cleared the cache and now it works!
