Premiere Pro crashes when setting a path

Hey peeps! First time poster here, long time reader.

I have a problem where Premiere Pro crashes when I try to setup a path for action.

Let's say I want to create a new project, but don't want the project to save on my previously worked folder, so I "choose a new location" and bam! Premiere crashes. This happens also if I open a project and try to import/export material.

So far the only workaround I've found is to run the application as admin. Compatibility mode for Win8 doesn't work. Slows things a tiny bit as you can't drag and drop material.

System

Version: Windows 11 Home
Version: 24H2

Premiere version: 25.1.0 (Tried to update to newest version, but didn't do anything. Previously I worked on 24.5 - and have tried installing older versions, but the issue remains.)

Hardware

Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900HX 2.20 GHz
RAM 32,0 Gt
x64

Thanks, I've received the file. Please allow me some time to get back to you.

Thanks for being so patient. The engineering team found out what's causing this issue. Do you have IBM's Aspera Connect installed on your system? If possible, please try uninstalling the app and any related extensions. Let us know if that helps with the stability issues.

Hey Sami,

Thank you for your first contribution to the community! I'm sorry for the issue you're experiencing.

Please let us know what type of storage drives you use. Try launching Premiere Pro as an Administrator and follow the steps mentioned in this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html.

If you still see the issue, could you click the "View Report" button on the crash reporter box and share the report here? You can also share it through a private message. If you're unable to upload the file directly, please upload it to a file-sharing service like Google Drive or Dropbox and share the link here.

Thanks,

Ishan

Hi there Ishan!

DM'd you the dmp-file. Tried the steps on your link, but the problem continues.

My setup is Legion Pro 7 16IRX8H, which has DDR5 I think.
