Premiere Pro - Crashing (Cursor getting big)
Hi! Classic problem with Premiere Pro crashing. I´m a pretty skilled editor and have tried my normal workaround-round, which normally always works at some point... Now it doesn´t. I´m in trouble. Just sended a client home from a session, after trying several hours fixing this with him waiting besides me.
I don´t get any messages regarding the crash. No log neither. It just crashes. The thing to note - which might help - is that the cursor gets bigger everytime it crashes (Which is every minute). These are the fixes I have tried:
- Enabling software rendering instead of GPU
- Deleting Media Cache - both in Premiere Pro and on the disk
- Starting the app with ALT and resetting preferences
- Starting the app with SHIFT and resetting plugin chache
- Changing Sequence Settings to ProRes-rendering
- Upgrading Premiere Pro
- Downgrading Premiere Pro
- Updating GPU, CPU & Windows
- Restarting
- Importing the project to a new project
- Opening an earlier auto save of the project which worked fine - but now crashes
- Reseting my workspace
- Only editing with my proxy files
- Relink all my media
I have tried every solution I could think of. None of it works. I have to get i fixed to reach my deadline, so I hope someone here might be able to help. It seems only to occur in the one project I´m working on here - other projects work. Here is my system data:
Windows 10
Premiere Pro v 15.4.1
CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X 24-Core Processor 3.79 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
RAM: 128 GB
Hope someone here has a fix! It will be appreciated big time x10! 🙂
Best regards
