Premiere Pro Crashing when Importing Files and not Importing Attached Audio

Hello,

I am hoping someone can help me because Adobe Support cannot.

Recently I updated my computer to MacOS High Sierra and updated Premiere. Usually, I would not do this while editing projects but for whatever reason about a week ago video in both my Source and Program, the video was very choppy.

Now when I try to import MTS files they either are imported without audio attached to them or if they are more than 2 GB, I cannot even import them without Adobe crashing and telling me there is a serious problem. I have never had this issue before. I used to be able to import large folders... now I have to import one file at a time for the fear of it crashing on me again.

When I talked to Support about this, they told me that I had to update to High Sierra. (I had High Sierra then we downgraded to see if High Sierra had been the issue.) I am still having the no audio and crashing issues.

When I called back, someone from Support told me that I would have to convert all files and then bring it into Adobe.

Is this correct? I mean I have been using this product for about 4 years and I have never had issues with MTS files. Also, these are weddings with 8 hours of coverage and multiple cameras... It seems like a lot of work to convert all my files in order to get Premiere to work when I have never had to do that before.

I am hoping someone can help me because I am at whits end. I have wasted about a week and half trying to figure this out while I have 6 weddings I need to edit and get back to my clients.

Here are some specs on my computer if that helps. Any other info you need, I will be more than willing to provide.

(P.S. I do work with an Osmo which produces mp4 files. I can get these files into Premiere without a hitch, it's just the MTS files I am having an issue with.)
