Question

Premiere Pro CS6 no audio

Hello, I'm a bit of a Premiere Pro novice, and I just started working with CS6. For some reason, when I imported video clips into my bin then place it on my timeline, there's no audio. I know for a fact that the source file did have audio; what am I doing wrong? Been working for 2-3 hours but I think once I updated windows this happened.

Thx

I'm guessing the Windows update updated some audio drivers and/or changed some audio routing defaults. First go into your Windows audio settings and make sure your speakers or headphones are correctly set. I know sometimes doing an update on my PC will re-enable my built in monitor speakers (which I don't use) and I have to manually disable and undefault them again.

Secondly, in Premiere, go into settings and make sure the correct audio devices are selected.
