Premiere pro dynamic aduio wavform on timeline while editing.

Hello there,

I have used a variety of video editors and now am currently using premiere pro.

There is one thing that I find quiet odd when it comes to adjusting audio levels in premiere.

On the timeline when I drag the volume line up or down the waveform size does not change, as it does with other editors as shown below.

**This is what I want to happen**

But what happens in premiere is as follows.

Notice that the waveform size does not change, This is has the potential to create confusion as one can accidentally click and change the volume and not even know about it.

How do I enable the dynamic waveforms as shown.

Thanks

I'd upvote this request forever. Premiere doesn't update waveforms for any effect added and it is really weird.. What's weirder is that if you apply a preset in Essential Sound then it does! If you were to apply a dialogue setting and then one of the presets, it will change the waveform to see what you get out of that. Other than that, there is no way to affect the waveform visibly. Why would that be? Or am I missing something?

Audio gain changes the waveform in the timeline.

No such feature in Premiere at present.

Post your request here:

Premiere Pro: user voice – Adobe video & audio apps

You can turn the audio keyframes off in the timeline: click on the wrench.
