Premiere pro exports markers that can be seen in After Effects. Why not the other way?

I can export a clip from Premiere, import it into after effects and my markers are visible. However when I export from after effects and import into premiere, I can't see any markers from my after effects comp. I've read that you can get aroun this by using dynamic link (this feature is still buggy after years) and that didn't work either.
