Premiere Pro File Size Increased after Exporting From Camtesia

Hello Everyone.

I create a 10 Minutes Video Tutorial using Camtasia Player. After exporting the Video Tutorial I notice my file size is about 60 MG. I imported the same file into Premiere, and I exported As-Is, to see how big the file would be. I noticed the file size Increased to 2.6 GiG.

Let say I finish Creating a Video Tutorial Inside Camtasia, and I like to do some modifications in the premiere, how can I prevent the file size Increasing.

Thanks.

It's in the export settings. Bitrate x Duration = size. So, for a given export type - h.264 for instance, you can decrese the bitrate.

You can use the free MediaInfo program to get info on your clips. Get the program from the link below and using the 'Tree' view post a screenshot of your clip info: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

Dear MyerPj.

UPDATE:

I Installed the MediaInfo, and it does show all the Infos for Video and Audio. I did a test on one Video. Inside Export settings, Target Bitrate is set to VBR,1 Pass, and Target Bitrate [Mbps] is set to 13.57. I changed It from 13.57 to 0.19, Inside Premiere Export settings: Estimate File Size Dropped to 61 MG, But after I Exported, the file size was 1.61GIG

You can post a screenshot of your source video here using the TREE view within MediaInfo.

Yes, basically that's how you control it. And check the quality as best you can with the exported video. Are you exporting using h.264 for the 'format'. Also, are you using (With the timeline window selected) FILE/Export/Media. Adobe added (for some unknown reason) the 'simple' export where you just dont see / can't change the options.

So, if you look at the source video's bit rate, you may want to get close to that if possible. Otherwise if it looks good to you you can use whatever you like.
