Premiere Pro freezes when trying to edit audio

Hello,
I'm having a technical problem with moving to edit audio in Premiere. Every time I click the "audio" at the top of the screen, the program freezes and gets stuck and I can't do anything (photo attached).
It started happening today, and it doesn't happen when I click on "Color", "Effects", "Graphics" or anything else. Only with audio.
I've tried to restart my computer and reinstall Premiere Pro (latest version), but it's all the same. 
My computer is not ideal for editing on Premiere, but I have been using it extensively for the last year and a half with no big issues.
Would appreciate any help.
