Premiere Pro Freezing

Hello! I have been using Premiere Pro and I love it so far. But, in a project, when I skip to a certain part, the playback freezes and I can't play the video at all. The play button doesn't work. It's not like the program freezes, just the playback. My specs are pretty bad, but not terrible. I have 8GB DDR4 RAM, an i5-5675R 3.10 Ghz and Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200. I am running Boot Camp on a 2015 iMac with CC 2020. I get the system compatibility error in the beginning saying my driver is not compatible, and when I try to download the driver from the "Fix" button, I get an error when trying to run the igxpin.exe. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! Also, the files are MP4 and MP3.

Okay, I found the solution. For some reason, Premiere was really struglling with Ultra Key on a clip, and it just didn't respond. So, I exported that edited clip and added it into the project, and it worked fine. Thanks for the replies, have a nice day!

That's a good way to handle clips and effects which tax the computer. I'll usually do this with After Effects clips. Export it to ProRes or Cineform and add that to the timeline.

I am pretty sure the issue is one of the clips. I converted it MOV, and it went fine, but then I added Ultra Key and it froze. Any idea how to fix this?

When you say 'when I skip to a certain part' is that a specific part and everything else plays or does that mean when you jump around the timeline? If it's the former, then you have some corruption but if it's the later, well, your hardware is at the minimum at best: Here's the requirements:

My guess is the computer is just trying to catch up. What if you jump to a spot and go out to lunch, well of course we can't do that very well in these days of covid19, but you might try really waiting a long time to see if it eventually does move, and if it does, there may be some things you can try to optimize or make your media more edit friendly. Like converting the mp3's to a .wav, and perhaps encoding your video files to an easier to use type, etc.

It is only that specific clip. If I skip around at any other part, it's okay. It might occasionally freeze, but only for like a second or two. I will try to skip to that part and see if it eventually does move.

What is happening on the timeline at that "certain part"?

Convert the mp3 files to wav before importing into Premiere Pro.  Premiere Pro can behave badly at times with mp3 files.

At the part, there is an mp4 video above  another mp4 video with an ultra key effect, with another mp3 file playing below it. I converted it to wav, and it still did the same thing. When I skip around at that part, it just freezes and I have to force Premiere to quit.
