Premiere Pro freezing when I click on top tabs or opening app or goes into background when I open it

All of a sudden I started having issues with Premiere Pro when I tried clicking on one of the top menus like file & all the other menus. Even sometimes trying to load it the app freezes on startup or it runs in the background when I attempt to open it. Why is this happening & how can I fix it? I’m on the latest version of Premiere, & I made sure my firmware is up to date & my graphics card drivers are up to date as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated cause I'm close to pulling my hair over here. Thanks.
