Back Story: I just Upgraded my system to a mac studio, lots of ram space. I upgraded to fix issues with my windows, and those problems were fixed now there is new problems that should not be happening with this much comupting power. I have made acouple of videos and it worked great, and then today. PP will lock up and you can not press play, nothing will happen. I can save my work and restart the program and it works fro a while then the same problem happens. This issue needs to be fixed asap.

Problem: PP locks up randomly and will not let you press play.

What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
