Premiere Pro Guided Workflow: Export a Video

Here are resources for standard export functions. You can export directly from Premiere Pro's Export mode, Quick Export, or Adobe Media Encoder. 

 

Quick Export
The fastest and easiest way to export a movie file is to use Quick Export.

Select the sequence.

Click the Quick Export button.

Choose a preset and a location for the exported file.

Click Export. The file exports.

Export Mode

After editing a sequence, select the sequence and do one of the following.

 

  • Choose Ctrl-M (Windows) or CMD-M (macOS) 
  • Choose File > Export > Media
  • Click the Quick Export button at the top-right of the interface.

 

Then, choose a preset or custom setting in Export Mode and click the Export button. The process is explained in the following video tutorial.

Export using Media Encoder

After editing a sequence, select the sequence and do one of the following.

 

  • Choose Ctrl-M (Windows) or CMD-M (macOS) 
  • Choose File > Export > Media
  • Click the Export mode button at the top-left of the interface.

 

  1. Click the button Send to Adobe Media Encoder. Media Encoder launches.
  2. Choose a preset or create custom settings in the Media Encoder Export Settings dialog box.
