Premiere Pro is Lagging after newest Update

I never had a problem editing in Premiere Pro on my MacBook Pro until now. Two things have changed: 1. Updated to newest Premiere Pro CC 2018 update, 2. Updated to MacOS High Sierra.

I can't tell why there is a problem or where it is coming from, but, I can't edit anymore. It is super lagging when it comes to adding video clips to the media folders or to a sequence. It's so slow and so delayed/lagged that I can't even edit one clip.

I went to the Apple Store and ran a bunch of diagnostics and there is nothing wrong with my computer. My hardware and storage are great. They think it is on Adobe's end and that the newest update to Premiere pro isn't working well with the newest update of macOS High Sierra. I can revert my computer back to just Sierra but I shouldn't have to nor want to.

Adobe, how can you fix this issue?? Will there be a patch coming out soon??

Help me!

I have exactly the same problem. Everything was running perfect until the upgrade. Now everything is choppy and lagging behind. Has anyone figured this out?

I have exactly the same problem. Everything was running perfect until the upgrade. Now everything is choppy and lagging behind. Has anyone figured this out?  Is there anyway to actually interact with customer support at Adobe? This is an expensive product that is now almost unuseable.
