Premiere Pro keeps crashing when I click "file".

I'm trying to work on a video at the moment and i wanted to save my project. I clicked "file" at the top left like I usually do to save it, but it doesnt open the drop down. Instead Premiere freezes and bring up the pop up that says that it suddenly stoped working. What do I do? I have already updated Premire so its up to date.

Hi Kevin!

Thank you so much for your response! Unfortunately, when I go to open up my preferences, it crashes as well. It won't even bring up the pop up box.
