Premiere Pro lagging on timeline

I feel that ever since I updated Premiere Pro to the 2023 version, the playback has been getting slower. Previously, when I hit Play on the timeline, it would instantly start playing the content, but nowadays it takes around 3 seconds to begin. This happens consistently, especially in longer projects, and it has been bothering me for a while now.

I don't to downgrade, i want to know what's going on.

I miss the old option for Performance Mode on the Memory page settings - this time, there's just the options to allocate the memory.

Config:

Processor Ryzen 5 3400g

GPU GTX 1660 OC

16 GB RAM

There is not enough free space on your C drive.

There may not be enough free space on the 1TB SSD, but you can try it.

What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

Make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

I have two hard drivers.

Primary is a 240GB NVme (windows main, used to run the softwares), the secondary (which i use to storage all my files) is a 1 TB SSD.

I'm using the latest version of Studio Driver, and even in Game Driver it persists.
