Premiere Pro muffled sound has caused sound to become muffled through Apple Music

I'm currently working on a project in Premiere Pro (23.4) on a Macbook Pro 13 Inch (M1 Chip, 2020) running OS Ventua and for some reason my sound has suddenly become super muffled through not only my headphones but my speaker as well. What's also strange is this has also caused my Apple Music to become muffled, however Youtube videos and anything played from Chrome seems to work as normal.

 

Is there a fix for this at all, I've had a trawl through the forum and have seen people experiencing similar issues but none where it also changes sound within other apps. I'm currently working to a deadline and can't hear the music I need to cut to, any help would be much appreciated!

Huh, this is strange.  When this is happening, can you post a screen shot of both "Preferences>Audio Hardware..." and "Preferences>Playback....".  If possible also post a screen shot of "Audio MIDI Setup.app" with your main audio device selected.

My initial guess is that there is something wrong with the sample rate of your audio device, the screen shots will help illuminate what is going on.
