Premiere Pro on MacBook Pro M2 Max looses connection with multimedia files-needs forced exit

Last night I rendered/exported my last project without problem. This morning I opened the project to find that it no longer connects to the original files. When I try to “find” one file, the program goes on block and I have to force the exit. I have found the same problem when trying to load previously developed projects.

I hane disinstalled Premier Pro and installed it back. I have restarted the Mac.

To no avail

Correct answer recorpac

Yes, I've seen that issue a couple times in the wild these days. More than usual. Anyway, glad you got going again.

Cheers,
Kevin

Sorry to cotraddict you, Kevin, but tha right answer i where I write “I have reversed the Insta360 Studio version to 4.6.6 as instructed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Insta360/comments/yxdpw1/insta360_57k_premiere_pro_error_a_lowlevel/”.

I had messed up my timeline later...

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-clear-your-media-cache-in-30-seconds-in-premiere-pro-2020/m-p/11017257/thread-id/260446?page=1

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-premiere-pro/td-p/8236158?page=1

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Thank you Bob. I'm in the Rome time zone, so I just woke up. I was about to reinstal MacOs, but I'll try what you suggest first. I'll let you know.
