Premiere Pro option captions not retaining formatting, any suggestions?

I'm having issues with Premiere Pro (11.1.0) and open captions.

I have no issues creating and exporting the captions. The problems arise when re-opening a project after closing out of Premiere Pro. I'll re-open the project and some of my captions will lose formatting entirely. I've gone through numerous attempts of fixing and saving the project over and over. Sometimes, one timeline will retain the formatting and the others will lose it, sometimes they retain the formatting, but won't save the changes I made to the actual text in the captions. This is getting incredibly frustrating, I can't get the captions to remain consistent.

Any suggestions?
