Can’t open the latest Premiere Pro 26.2.2.

When I try to open it I get this message - “Premiere Pro requires access to the following folders: Desktop”

When I open system preferences Premiere has Full Disk Access.

By the way 25.6.5 version works fine. The problem is that I have a project in newest version.

Any solutions?

I’ve got the exact same issue and I can’t use Premiere because of it - does anyone have a fix? I tried the link below but that didn’t help as I have read-write access already

Sorry you're running into this. Since other users are reporting the same behavior with Premiere Pro 26.2.2, it may be related to how macOS permissions are being detected rather than your actual folder permissions.

A few things to check:

In System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders, make sure Desktop access is enabled specifically for Adobe Premiere Pro. This is separate from Full Disk Access, and macOS treats these permissions independently.
If Desktop access is already enabled, try toggling it off, restarting your Mac, then enabling it again.
If the toggle isn't available, remove Premiere Pro from Full Disk Access, restart, then add it back and launch Premiere again so macOS can prompt for the required permissions.

To help us investigate further, could you let us know:

Which Mac model you're using (Intel or Apple silicon)?
Which macOS version you're running?
Do you receive the prompt immediately when launching Premiere, or only when opening a project?

Since Premiere Pro 25.6.5 works on the same system and only 26.2.2 is affected, that information will help determine whether this is a regression in the newer version.

This does not fix the issue. There is clearly an incompatibility issue with v26 updates of PP. and macOS. Time to push out another update and actually fix the problem.
