Premiere Pro shutting down when clicking export button

Hi there, I've been having an issue lately with Premiere where I can't export videos, because the app shuts down whenever I click the "Export" button. The app seems to load for a few seconds, then it unexpectedly shuts down.

 

I've tried clearing the cache, re-install and update, rendering the files on the video, etc, nothing worked.

As an aside, I'm also struggling to edit videos when using lots of effects and footages, it makes playback impossible because of it.

 

Any solutions?

    Edit: answering my own question.

    I had two issues and both were solved by changing one setting: GPU accelerated rendering.

     

    Under file -> project settings -> and in the general tab, next to Renderer, I selected 'Mercury Playback Engine Acceleration (CUDA)' which solved the whole problem for me.

     

    The entire app was extremely glitchy before this, couldn't play back footage without going down to 1/4 resolution playback and even then it was still desastruous, the app shut down when trying to export, effects wouldn't play smoothly, this would make my background music (in the browser) glitch and essentially affect other apps running... etc. This fixed it all.
