Premiere Pro Source Monitor is Cropping Part of the Video

I am having trouble with the preview monitor [Source Monitor]. I have been using the program for a month or longer and have not had this issue until today.

 

The issue I am having is with resizing the Source Monitor.

 

  • When I resized the Source Monitor before the video scaled down (even though it kept its resolution) it just made the video preview screen managable when you needed to use the other cells to work with.
  • Now when I resize the window the picture or video stays the same while the preview window is scaling down.
  • So in order for me to see the entire video so I can see what I am working with, I have to resize the preview window while the other cells get smaller and unmanagable to where I cannot use them at all.
  • I will post some screen shots of what I am trying to describe. I didn't change any settings, that I know of, but if I did and this is able to be fixed, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like your Program Monitor is set to something other than Fit ... that's the control in the lower left of the Program Monitor.

    Thank you for your contribution as well. This really helped me a lot and I truly appreciate the answer you both have given. I'm still learning premiere pro so it's been trial and error for me. 🙂

      Your zoom level is set to 50%. Meaning you will always see your video at half zoom, regardless of window position. You need to set this to "fit."

        Thank you so very much. I did notice that, but didn't think anything of it because I didn't think I touched that. I tend to leave things I am not sure about alone. This worked great. Again, thank you so much for your help.
