Question

Premiere Pro Speed up clips and choppy playback since update?

Since the newest update I'm having severe playback issues.  I had several projects I was in the middle of working on and I re opened them tonight to continue working and now every file in the timeline is playing roughly 150% speed and the audio is clipping.  I checked to see if it was just audio files and it isn't, the videos are altered as well.  I also attempted to start a brand new project with new videos and again I'm getting the same issues on playback.  I even attempted to export the projects in the hopes that maybe they would normalize when rendered and the same result.

This is a screen capture I did so I could possibly have someone understand what Im talking about.  I'm fairly new to Premiere.  I've been using it for almost a year now, but I've never had any issues like this, so I've never had to learn how to change whatever settings I'm having issues with.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Derekl,

Mobile phones & screen captured videos often use Variable Frame Rate recording, which is not ideal for use in Premiere.

Please transcode/convert your footage in handbrake & re-import in Premiere Pro.

Thanks,
