Premiere Pro super laggy 2020 with audio cuts out and I have a great CPU

Deleting cache and preview files is a good suggestion. Also, check your Audio Hardware settings, try Audio Input of None if they look like they are set OK. Delete cache like so:

• Start PP from it's normal desktop icon (IE: don't open from a project file link).
• Close the Open/Home screen (and you will be in PP without a project open).
• Go into Edit/Preferences/Media Cache (Mac users adjust menu name)
• Then Press: Remove Media Cache Files: and Delete...
• Select: Delete all media cache files from the system and OK
• Close PP - It will create any needed cache files on the fly as you edit.

This is H.264 footage. AMD CPUs do not have the benefit of hardware decoding as Intel CPUs with Quick Sync do. So, playback is not that great. I advise to transcode the footage to ProRes LT. You will be free of these problems after that, I bet. Try a single clip and report back.

how much RAM do you have?

are those mov files coming from an iphone? any GoPro footage?

try to convert them to constant frame rate using Handbrake

what kind of footage are you using?

what are your sequence settings?

can you provide more details please?

check if your specs meet the requirements to run premiere pro 2020 properly, anyway try this:

clean your media cache

delete the render files (video preview files)

trash the preferences

are you on software only or GPU acceleration?? if software only is your only option,

try to update your GPU driver from Nvidia's website
