Premiere Pro titles "forward slash" not working properly

Hi all.  First time posting.  I'm having an issue that just started happening that's very bizarre to me.  I do a lot of  YouTube videos of my model building, and I always have title cards with the model name, mfg, and scale of the model, or size of tools I'm using.  I'm constantly using fractions on my title cards to reference things being used in the video, such as "1/8", "1/2", or "1/72 scale", etc.  But now, when typing, the foward slash keeps appearing at the end of the numbers.  Example:   "172/", "14/"  or "12/".   No matter what I do, it pops up at the end of the numbers rather than in the middle.  Can't insert inbetween, can't move it, etc. Very frustrating and messing up my ability to get my title cards done for my videos.  While I use Legacy Title to do my titles (which I prefer) it also does it in Essential Graphics as well.  Did I somehow hit a key accidently that did something to the way it handles a forward slash?  I really need some help.

Did you try clearing the preferences, using a new, empty project, trying a different font, reset your workspace to default.

Tried all of that.  But now it is working with Essential Graphics panel.  I still prefer Legacy, which still DOES NOT work, but at least I can continue using Essential.  Just wish I could get Legacy back.  I just like that better for simple titles.

Very odd. I assume you have tested and this does not happen in Notepad or Word, for example?

And the foward slash on the keyboard and on the number pad work the same way?

Stan,  yes.  Works in all other software, including here on forum.  1/2,  1/4, etc.  It is very odd.  I think re-installing is my next option.

Here is a photo of Premiere with a title being done.  You can see the text across the bottom the / is in the wrong place.  And in the center, I typed a new fraction, and you can see the / is moved to the end, and the cursor is between the 7 and the 2, even though I tyed out 1/72.  So in that instance, the cursor is actually 2 spaces behind.  But if I were to continue typing, it will begin after the wrong fraction number.

I made a very simple text mogrt, try if it works for you with fractions:

I'm using 22.1.2 as well.  Keyboard shortcuts, the / is listed as "mark selection" tool.  I even deleted that function so the / has no tool function at all.  Still doesn't work.  I guess I may have to uninstall and re-install the software?

You might try resetting your preferences first, as less intrusive than reinstalling.

Hold down ALT as you start premiere from the Desktop.

I can't replicate the problem, I'm using PPro 22.1.2, Windows 10

Since I can't edit my above post, I'll also point out that I have many title cards pre-built with fractions, and even those now when loaded into a project move the forward slash after the numbers.

Time to start looking around. 22.1.2 working fine for me. Look at your keyboard shortcuts if as you suggested you did something to your \ /
