Premiere Pro Transition EFFECT Problem - (Most likely due to Channel Blur)

I have two problems when I add transitions containing an adjustment layer, the first one is that when the adjustment layer gets activated, the resolution goes down. That's one

The other one is in the film attached, in many of my transitions it's skewed. It wasn't skewed yesterday so I'm pretty convinced this is some kind of glitch. It's probably related to the channel blur as when I turn that off, the problem vanishes. But then the transition isn't how I want it to be. Any ideas? Thanks.
