Premiere Pro unable to relink photoshop files due to Generic Error FIXED Solution.

Work around for the annoying Generic Error. Updated PP this morning and for whatever reason a photoshop file with 20 layers was offline. Went to link media, it found the file, and when hit ok it gave the ol' "Generic Error". The file was untouched, all the layers had the same name, not sure why it was offline and couldn't be relinked.

Solution: More of a work around - I lassoed all the offline files in the timeline, right click and send to after effects. In AE they are offline but just select them all in the project pannel and right click>reload and boom, relinked no problem.

Not sure why on earth it doesnt work but there you go.
