Premiere Pro Update v22.2.1 Unusable

after the new update suddenly Premiere Pro is running extremely slowly, all panels are slugglish esp graphics, and render times are ridiculous. Even small length videos are taking an eternity to render when they only took seconds before the update. I have multimple fast turnaround jobs so it's important to have software I can rely on. I've tried the usual media cache cleans etc to no avail. Running iMac 24gb ram SSD and running out of patience, been a long time Adobe subscriber but if this doesn't get fixed it might be time to switch to a more stable software provider.
