Question

Premiere Pro windows won't stay where I move them

Using Premier Pro 14.0.1 and my workspace won't reopen the way that I've configured it.  I have to move the windows around each time.  Then I select Save changes to This Workspace...but it doesn't work.  The same goes for Legacy Title.  I still use this for my fonts....and every time I open it, it resets to a setting different than I chose.  I've had to go back to previous versions of Premiere Pro to have this rectified...same as with Audio Merge that doesn't sync the audio tracks anymore.  Suggestions on the workspace windows?  Thanks.

Try something. I had an issue with a workspace where I had My project on the top left and my media browser at the bottom, save it and even when it was reset , i was working fine ...but...the next time I was opening Premiere my Media browser was next to my Project window...So..I have Sync my setting and now it works fine. Find the cloud icon at the very left bottom of your Premiere Pro and use the Sync settings option and Upload your settings. Give it a try.

I have to say that as Neil , everything is fine for me too , If I resize and put the legacy title window anywhere on on of my screen, it will stay at the same place and size when re launch PPRO CC. Verify also two things in your preferences:

Sync Settings / Verify that workspace Layouts are quote , verify the Automatically clear settings ....is not quote.

In your Window Menu/ Workspaces verify that " Import workspace from project" is selected . Let us know.

The Legacy Titler panel issue is a pain ... but that's not long for this world anyway, it's really time to move on.

The Project panel ... I've had that pop back a few times on me in 14.0.1, but in 14.0.2 it's been stable. I've normally got that parked on my second screen along with Source, History, and Effects.

I would delete any workspaces you've tried but failed with making.

They changed the workspaces a bit ... when you change a "built-in" workspace, you need to rename it. It will save the changed renamed version.

Thanks, Neil.  That's the only thing I could think of to try.  It hasn't worked either.  So neither "Save the Changes" or "Create New Workspace" is working for me...and it did a few versions ago.  (And I'm running out of names to name my workspace....LOL)  Any other thoughts of why this could be occuring?  To be honest, it's only one window that isn't cooperating....the Project window.  I have to move it where I want it....click on Effects and undock it....and then move it where I want it.  Maybe something there is the problem.  Also, I can't get the Legacy Title pop-up to keep the dimensions I set when it opens.  I stretch this, and stretch that....and the next time I open Legacy Title...it's back to the original settings - or something I didn't even set.  Let me know if you have any other thoughts...I appreciate it.

hi dd you ever figure this out? i've had this same problem (with the Project window docked to the effects window as well) and while it's a minor annoyance it does take up time every time I open a project and it should just stay where it's told to stay! Let me know if you figured anything out here - thanks!
