Premiere Productions - source media brought in to new project within production no matter what

Question

Within my Production, when I copy a sequence or add a clip to a new sequence in a project within the production, it brings in the source clips in their original folder structure created in my "media" project. So the media lives in two places. I am also getting Recovered Clips created occasionally. Something is off with my Production, as this is the opposite of how it should function.

At some point, I had to revert to a backed up version of my production and had to turn it into a production again (there was a prompt for making it into a production). I didn't notice the problem right away but including this info in case that's the culprit.

EDIT: I'm just remembering I updated my OS recently. I wonder if that had something to do with it. I'm now on macOS Sonoma 14.4.1

I maaaay have figured this out. When I updated my OS, for some reason it moved some of my files from my documents folder into a new folder called "Documents - Judy's Mac Studio." Maybe because of icloud backing it up? My production was in this folder. I moved it out of that folder and into the root of my documents folder in a Premeire Projects folder, and this seems to have fixed it?? It doesn't really make sense to me, and we'll see if it sticks, but figured I'd put this info here in case it helps anyone else at somepoint.
