Premiere radomly resets to vanilla 'welcome screen'[

Every 7 - 30 days PP randomly opens as if it were a brand new install - all my projects are missing (they are still accessible but do not show on the opening screen) and all my prefences are gone.  I do make a profile settings backup which I can drag back into the 'profile settings' in Users\name\Documents\Adobe\24.0 - but it's a drag having to constantly save this folder EVERY time I make a change. I have un-synced cloud just in case that is the culprit. Any ideas? Latest build. 12900K, 64GB, - the system is fine.

    Do you have any optimization programs installed that might be wiping files?

      No optimisation files. The preferences folder is still there - but won't 'work' - it's not wiped. So I delete it - drag the backup - and boom - all is well - till the next time.
