Hey, i have 3840 x 2160 23.976 fps video shot on a a7sii that I need to transcode from premiere to DNX 36 so that it will play in avid.  Is there a DNX 36 option within premiere and if not what is the best possible option so that the footage will play in avid?  Thanks, Greg

That's an older number based listing of a DNx form. They've changed to a letter based nomenclature, there's a comparison list out somewhere as to the bitrates of the letter versions to match the numbers.

36 is a fairly low one, as I recall. So say HQ would probably be well above it. But I'm not so good at that without checking that list.

Thanks for hunting that down, Kevin.

Why they changed makes no sense to me. With the old names you knew exactly what you were selecting. Ah well.

If you send your sequence to Adobe Media Encoder, and select the DNxHD category, you will find a lot of pressets that will be compatible with Avid.

    Hope this helps,
