Question

Premiere won't stop playback. Known, old and unsolved issue.

While editing, doing several play/pauses, the playback won't stop.

I hit play, and then cannot stop it. Keyboard no longer gets any result from any keys in Premiere.

Mouse moves fine, but nothing responds to clicks.

I can only regain control only when the video ends.

When it stops it does whatever key clicks and keys I entered.

It will save, or open panels, or make markers, whatever keys I had pressed.

-I don't have time remmaped clips

-Everything is the same framerate and quality. Changed aspect ratio tho.

-Locked/unlock audio layers

-Deleted all caches

-Used only one display

-reset to saved layouts or used default ones

-reinstalled

Nothing seems to work.

Already read through this article and nothing helps:

Hi A_Cortes,

We're sorry about the poor experience. We can get this checked. Please share a screenshot of the Audio Hardware preferences window in Premiere Pro. Also, have you tried resetting app preferences to isolate any preference corruption issue that might be causing the app to misbehave?

Thanks,

Sumeet
