Pressing Mark In or Mark out Stops

Question

For YEARS I have been able to mark in points and out points on the fly while watching playback in the source monitor. I wake up today and start working and when I press I or O on the keyboard, playback stops and resets back to where the video began playing. It marks the in point, but I need it to keep playing.

I have cleared my cache, restarted multiple times, I'm using 25.3.0, but have installed previous versions to see if that would fix it. Nothing has worked.

Anyone have any ideas?

I just figured it out, I believe.It had to do with my mxf media.  I was only using one clip in the project, so I didn't think of importing another clip to see if it did the same thing.  Welp.  The media was the cause, not the program.   Very very weird.

@j.j.g95014916 That's really strange! There hasn't been any change to this behavior; and indeed on my system both the standard v25.3 and the Beta version don't stop playback when I press I or O to set In/Out points.

Have you connected any new peripheral devices, or installed any new software or drivers recently? Those could be culprits. Also, try switching to the standard keyboard shortcut preset to see if that fixes it; maybe you have multiple commands set to the I and O keys?
