Problem Resizing still images in program monitor

I droppped still images onto Timeline and after clicking on images in Program Monitor I could grab corners and resize them or scoot them around, no problem.  Next day I opened Premier Pro and I could not adjust them in the Program Monitor.  It is like they were frozen in place.

How can I get back to being able to adjust them?  I'm using CS4 but I'm sure the basics are the same on all versions.

Thanks for your help,

Fred

Click on the clip in the timeline then go into the effects Control panel and select the word Motion or  scale and see if that will make it directly editable in the Program Monitor.

You can only select the top image in the Program Monitor.

If your image is below an other asset you need to highlight the transform icon of Motion in the Effect controls first.

well you're working in a very old version..  so not sure how much help you'll find here, but first

Please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card

Have you done any software or os updates recently?   Have you tried resetting your premiere preferences?
