Problem syncing audio from Logic with Premiere Pro project

Hi all. I've edited a soundtrack in Logic and exported it as AIFF, 24 bit / 48000 hz. When I bring it in to Premiere, it starts off in sync but quickly starts to drift and, by the end of the 40 min film, is a full 30 seconds behind the image track. The film is 29.97fps.

I saw on another thread a suggestion to try exporting the image sequence at a lower framerate and to then reimport it and start over. However, the next jump down from 29.97fps is to 25fps and, of course, when I tried doing this, the audio ended up out of sync in the opposite direction! (the audio was too far ahead)

Attached are 2 screenshots showing my sequence settings from Logic and Premiere, respectively.

Any advice gratefully received! I have spent a long time editing the audio and I am at a loss as to how to get it to now align!!

Thanks so much in advance.

Heather

Use the stretch tool to re-adjust the duration of the audio to match that of the video. The speed of the audio track will decrease to like 96%, which isn't noticeable in most cases. This is only a quick fix if you run out of solutions. I faced something similar some time ago, and this is how I ended up fixing it.
