Problem with adobe Premier pro CS5

Hello, I am writing on behalf of my school media club. We have purchased a copy of adobe creative suite 5 master collection. (In like 2012, Before my time) Just recently adobe premier has stopped working. It will open to the loading screen but the program never starts. I have reinstalled it twice and it has not changed. Any ideas? also could i upgrade it to the new CC versions?

      Might want to go for CC.

      There is no real upgrade from CS5 to CC.

      CS5 has a perpetual license, CC is subscription only.

       

      As for CS5: deinstall,

      Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

      and install again.

      Reboot between every proceeding.

        Ok, i will have to try that out today. I had thought that there is no way to upgrade between the suites. 😞 i love the new software. Thx
