Question

Problem with sound disappearing from sub-clip

Hello, I've run into the following situation in Premiere Pro CS6:

1) Imported an interview clip with a person and created several sub-clips

2) Did some sound correction on the sub clips as part of a larger video

3) Exported a draft video with no issues

4) Opened up project again after some down time

5) Noticed that all of the sound had disappeared from ONE sub-clip, with the exception of some weird background static

6) Viewed the original interview clip in the source monitor - sound is fine throughout all except for the portion I included in the problem subclip

7) Tried re-importing the problematic interview - sound is fine except for the portion included in the problem subclip

😎 Viewed the original imported file on the computer - sound is fine, no issues.

Any clue what is causing this? I can try clipping the draft video and extracting the sound from that as a workaround, but I'd like to solve this problem at the root.
