Alguna idea?

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for your response. I hope you're doing well today.

It's a bit confusing, but Metal looks permanently disabled (grayed out) but in actuality, it's actually always enabled - it just can't be enabled for Software Only rendering. I'd need to know a bit more about the footage that you are using to comprehend what's going on there. I hope I can help with a bit more info. Codec, frame rate, frame size, wrapper type (.mov, .mp4, .mxf, etc.) and audio sample rate and your Sequence Settings in terms of frame rate, frame size, audio sample rate, etc.

I hope we can help with just a bit more info.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey, Carlos,

Thanks for the note and welcome to Adobe forums. I'm one of the community managers here. I hope the community can help.

I think I understand your situation, as I also run a similar Mac. The Apple Silicon-native versions of Premiere Pro are permanently locked to the "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Metal)" mode, and cannot be changed at all to any other mode such as software-only. I know it's confusing, but it's normal to have this option disabled. Is there a problem where you'd like to switch GPU acceleration or to choose Software Only mode? Or is it OK to remain in Metal? Let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey Kevin, Thanks a lot for your help

If there are no compatibility problems with the system or with other programs, if there is the possibility of leaving it always activated, I would like to be able to always use the graphic accelerator (Mercury Metal) in premiere to get the most out of it. Now, working with not very heavy videos, it gives me jumps even processing the Clip and viewing it in low resolution. Can it be fixed somehow?
