Problems Opening Premiere Projects

Hello All-

 

I have been having horrible problems opening premiere projects recently. 

 

When I attempt to open my project, it gets stuck on "Locating Media". I cancel.

 

It then takes me to the "Link Media" window. I select a simple offline clip and click "Locate". It freezes up.and crashes.

 

I restart the program. I immediately cancel "Locating Media". I click "Offline All" in the "Link Media" window.  It gets stuck again on the "Relinking Media" box.

 

This is literally a brand new computer (got it yesterday) 

- Windows 11

- Latest Version of Premiere as of today

- 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz

- 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)

- 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

 

This was happening on my old system too. I though it was an issue with my aging computer but it's obviously the software.

    Hi Chris!

    Sorry about the trouble. Do you see any error codes or messages when it crashes? Have you tried resetting preference? 

    Does it happen with a specific project?

    PS. The whole project is on an internal hard drive.
