Problems with applying effects to my timeline while using multiple screens

I'm hoping someone can help me. I visited this https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/use-premiere-pro-with-multiple-monitors.html when I started using my MacBook Pro with the M1 chip on two other monitors besides the one on the laptop. I set everything up just like the help page advised and yet I can't add any of the Premiere Pro effects on my timeline. The effects will not be moved to the timeline.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug when using multiple monitors? Are there any workarounds?

I run three UI panels in Pr plus a fourth for the Transmit Out function on a PC. Works without troubles.

So I take it you dragged a panel to the other monitor, resized it, maybe added additional panels to that creating a "panel group" covering the nearly full screen, right?

One thing to be aware of is you must make sure you do not get so much as one line of pixels on a different monitor. As then it gets weird. So you need to make sure that there is a teeny bit of space around the edges of your panel groups on the other monitors.

Thanks for the recommendations, but I just double checked that not a single pixel was on another screen and I still had the same problem.

That's tough. I can't replicate here. I can have the Effects panel on a secondary monitor, and drag/drop effects onto the timeline on the primary monitor.

One question ... is the timeline panel on the primary monitor of the system?
