Problems with the crop tool on speech pauses in transcription

I have a problem, I want to use the transcription tool to automatically delete pauses in my video, but I can only delete the pauses when I transcribe in Portuguese, when I transcribe in English, Premiere recognizes the pauses, but the delete option simply appears as unclickable, what is happening?

Welcome to the community! Please click the three dots on the right side top of the Transcript panel & select Generate text-based editing transcript to check if you are able to delete Pauses. Hope it helps.
