Program Monitor & Media Encoder

Has anyone noticed that the play button in the program monitor pause and starts encoding in Media Encoder. They're two independent applications.

Basically rendering a video in in media encoder and working on a different project in Premiere at the ame time is when this happens. I never noticed this before so I'm unsure if this happens with older versions or if this is even normal functionality.

Version 14.0 of Premiere

Version 14.0 build 556 of Media Encoder

Windows 10

Hi Paul_Miller,

Im Premiere Pro preferences>Playback, uncheck the option which says : Pause Media Encoder queue during playback: Pauses the encoding queue in Adobe Media Encoder when you are playing back a sequence or a project in Premiere Pro.
