Question

Project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements

Once again, I have this problem like everyone else.

I created a project on my desktop pc and moved it to my external hardrive (with all files and folders) so I could work on it on my laptop. Well, that didn't work out to well because now I am getting this error...

Project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements

I have been trying all the different suggestions from other users in other threads but I am still not having any luck. I am on the latest version of Premiere v12.0

So, what can be done about this? I need to get back to work so my clients have their assets! This is the problem with all this cloud based crap. Why can't programs as assets just be local!!! GRRR.

It's sad that I (we) pay 50 bucks a month for this system that is full of bugs. It seems adobe doesn't event test before they roll out the updates.

I seriously expect some sort of refund for all the work that i am not able to finish. A free month would be nice.

Someone please help..

    Hi mikeven77,

I found a (possible) workaround here: WORKAROUND - Project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements.

Not sure if you have tried that out already...

    Kind Regards,
    Maurice

    Hi,

I will try that as soon as I get back. Do you know how to open the project file in a XML editor?

What editor did he (or you) use?

    mikeven77,

I'm not sure which editor he used, but you can open XML files just fine with the built-in Windows Notepad
or third-party code editors such as Brackets(free).

    Kind Regards,
    Maurice
